Noted Champagne writer Peter Liem summed up Hebrart on his Champagneguide web-site - “Hébrart’s wines have a broad appeal: if you like to think about your wines, they’re intellectually engaging enough to satisfy you; on the other hand, if you’re just looking to drink, they’re simply delicious. The wines are full and generous without being weighty, complex and soil-driven without being demanding. Overall, the entire range is of consistently high quality, and represents excellent value for the money.”

Brut Selection Premier Cru NV - Only the first free run juice is used in the blend, giving a purity and vivid expression to the wine. Wonderful, lifted aromatics of spicy, red fruits with lifted white floral, citrus overlays. Textured and full on the palate, there is spine of mineral acidity that finishes fresh and leaves you wanting more. Hebrart has always been one of my favourite producers, consistently over-delivering and just gets better with every release.

Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru NV - Mareuil is most famous for the quality of it’s Pinot Noir, yet there are small parcels of exceptional Chardonnay. This component has given a fullness and richness to the wine while the fruit from the Cote des Blancs adds an aromatic lift and edge. Opulent and creamily textured yet kept in perfect balance, by vibrant, mineral acidity. Multi-layered and textured, this over delivers in every way.

Rose Brut Premier Cru NV - Decanter Magazine’s “Top 10 Grower Champagnes to Try”–   Equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sourced from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, this encases its exuberant fruit within a sleek, racy structure, feeling succulently ripe yet imparting an elegant impression, thanks to its silky texture and graceful overall balance. 17.5 pts -Peter Liem

Special Club 2014 The Special Club releases from Hebrart are always a revelation. Regardless of vintage conditions Jean-Paul always delivers. This could be due to his philosophy in making wines, seeking wines of balance and precision as opposed to showy and over the top. They seduce and tease in the glass, then gradually open and reveal so much more! The selection of fruit is always paramount and the drawing of fruit from the best sites in the premier and grand crus of Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay, Chouilly and Oiry is impeccable. The average vine age is 45 years and the old vine material gives  an added dimension of depth of complexity. Tightly coiled and youthful at present, it gives great pleasure currently but this will evolve into a classic given five years or more. (That is on the huge assumption that you can resist opening beforehand!)

2 x 'Mes Favorites' Vieilles Vignes NV

A brand vew cuvee from Hebrart!..'Mes Favorites' Mareuil-sur-Ay Premier Cru Vieilles Vignes

Jean-Paul Hebrart has blended together his favourite 'old vine' parcels all located in the premier cru of Mareuil-sur-Ay, where the Hebrart estate is located. The vines are all about fifty years old and it is a mix of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, and a blend of three vintages; 2014, 2013 & 2012. It is the essence of Mareuil. Sensational wine!

The prestigous 'La Revue du Vin de France' has bestowed 'Mes Favorites' the coveted 'Coup de Coeur' award as one of their champagnes of the year.
