To celebrate the millenium the Chiquet's produced their first release of the Cuvée de Réserve. A blend of 1993, 1992 and 1991. It's purpose was to showcase the depth and richness which can be achieved with extended lees ageing. They were so pleased with the results that they decided to continue producing this cuvee.

A blend of 40% Meunier, 35% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir. The grapes are sourced from the premier cru villages of Dizy, Hautvillers and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The base wine is 2016 with 29% reserves from 2015. Average vine age of 25 years

Creamy and expansive, at first the wine is very much driven by red fruits with layers of warm biscuits, plum and black cherries. As the wine develops in the glass there are hints of ginger, citrus zest, spice and lemon brulee, A fascinating wine as it just continues to open, evolve and expand in the glass. Multi-nuanced it continues to please and surprise with every mouthfull, An excellent and delightful cuvee!
